Marianhill Inc. is a progressive "full service" long- term care facility, with a broad range of specialized services and programs for persons of all ages. Marianhill Inc. is located in the City of Pembroke, in Renfrew County (pop.14,700) which is a thriving community situated on the Ottawa River, in the heart of the Ottawa Valley. It is the largest center between Ottawa and North Bay, and serves a central market population of 75,000+ within a 40 km (25 mile) radius of the city.

Marianhill Inc. has evolved into a fully accredited, not for profit 200-bed facility, approved by the Ministry of Health to provide long-term care, complex continuing care and palliative care services. A broad range of additional services to the Community include Audiology, Geriatric and Memory Loss Clinics, Dr. L. U. McCluskey Centre, Adult Day Programs, Community Respite Care, and Supportive Housing.

Marianhill's strategic vision is to provide the highest possible quality of life for adults who require continuing care services, with special expertise in and a focus on geriatric care. This vision will be realized by developing in two directions simultaneously:

• First- to establish the skills and programs necessary to offer a broader continuum of services, including chronic care and other services, which provide a bridge with the acute care setting. This includes partnering with local and regional programs to provide assessment and consultation services.
• The second direction is to build on our existing foundation of outreach services to meet the needs of vulnerable adults living within the community.
